Even though I have no interest in any of the YSL Fall 2010 nail polish shades, the urge to attempt the Couture Tips was too strong to ignore any longer. First I filed my nails to a more rounded shape (I usually prefer them to be more 'squoval' but I think these type of manicures suit rounded nails better) and then, over yesterday's NOTD (N.Y.C West Village), I painted the tips using Barry M Gold - completely forgetting that Gold takes about 3 coats to be even somewhat opaque. Note to self for the next time: use a much more pigmented shade.
Love this, you must have a very steady hand, so much better than alot of these mani's i've seen on other blogs x
ReplyDeleteHaha, thank you.. although I think using a super sheer gold meant a lot of the mistakes weren't so noticeable so I can't take all the credit!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love this! I can't believe that's 3 coats of the french! I would have totally massacred mine on the second pass lol...
